Lisa Connolly

Lisa serves as executive assistant and project manager for the Peterson Rudgers Group. Since joining PRG in April 2024, she assists with client projects and special assignments. Two weeks out of high school, Connolly began a 37-year career at the University of Michigan as a clerk. Her strong work ethic and desire to learn and advance led her to hold a variety of executive assistant positions across the medical and academic campuses, serving high-level managers, department chairs, two School of Education Deans, and the Provost before joining the Office of the President as a project manager for the last 12 years of her time at the university. In that role, she managed executive search processes, honorary degree and commencement speaker selection processes; Thomas Francis, Jr., Medal in Global Public Health selection process; and managed or served as liaison in planning for distinguished visitors to campus, including then-President Barack Obama and His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Connolly pursued an associate’s degree at Cleary University while raising young children. She attributes her professional success to working alongside and learning from university executives and leaders, while taking advantage of all educational opportunities available to staff on her trajectory. After retiring from U-M, Connolly managed her own business for five years as an independent cabi stylist, serving women with a boutique brand of clothing, and was passionate about making a difference for women across the globe through the Heart of cabi Foundation. An active member at her church, Connolly serves as the point person to provide members of her community who are entering or reentering the workforce with the right clothing to take that step and feel confident. Connolly resides in Michigan with her husband and has two adult sons and a granddaughter.
